Working in higher education, there is a pursuit for knowledge and sharing it. However, often with papers we find this information blocked behind the paywalls of journals. Sure, we can put in requests for copies, or pay for the information, but I do believe in the sharing of information for no cost. Focusing on technology, often I rely on community-based knowledge – just people on the Internet who ran into the same problem as me and shared their fix. This is why I do more presentations than journal articles.
