Teaching Philosophy
As an educator, my primary objective is to inspire students to recognize the significance of theoretical knowledge in understanding the subject matter and subsequently apply that understanding to practical real-world scenarios. I strive to be an engaging teacher who conveys my enthusiasm for the diverse forms of communication studies and their practical applications in various fields, including research, development, and forward-thinking endeavors.
Patience and a willingness to provide support are essential qualities in my teaching approach. I extend my assistance not only within the classroom but also as a life mentor, offering guidance and suggestions for students’ future endeavors within the discipline. In my classroom, students are challenged while also guided, encouraging them to balance theoretical concepts with practical development.
Whether the subject matter is theoretical or practical, my goal is to ignite students’ curiosity and emphasize the practical impact of the topic on their professional lives. I believe in fostering an environment where students feel engaged and comfortable sharing their thoughts and ideas. This positive atmosphere encourages students to embrace new ideas and learn from their mistakes safely. Whether it is a simple pencil or a sophisticated software program, my objective is to empower students to critically analyze their surroundings and develop a new perspective on the world around them.
My students come from diverse backgrounds and cultures, and I am committed to assisting them in overcoming any barriers, real or perceived. Through my teaching, I aim to instill in them the enthusiasm I have for the subject matter, enabling them to carry my passion into their careers. My goal is to equip them with essential skills and concepts that not only facilitate their employment in the field but also foster a genuine enjoyment of their work. Conversely, I believe it is equally important to instill a sense of self-worth in students, preventing them from settling and ensuring their awareness of any instances of unfair treatment in the workplace.
Upon successful teaching, my students acquire not only the ideals I impart but also the practical skills necessary for the subject matter. This is achieved through an engaging and interactive approach that integrates theory and practical exercises. My teaching style emphasizes that project design and development through communication theories are not merely a mechanical process. Furthermore, by fostering a close relationship with my students, I am able to identify and provide support to those who require additional assistance. I encourage open discussions and encourage advanced students to share their thought processes, demonstrating that there are multiple approaches to achieving excellence.
To encourage students to integrate thought processes, philosophical concepts, and practical tools, I provide exemplary case studies that create an active learning environment. Students are required to create their own products through classroom assignments, demonstrating their understanding of the concepts we discuss in class and reflecting on their work. Upon completing these assignments, students apply the methodology and theoretical frameworks in real-world scenarios, further honing their skills.
My comprehensive approach of combining these three elements is essential for developing the skills of a developer, consultant, or manager. Through practical experience and demonstration, I integrate these concepts into a workflow that can be applied in various forms of communication, media development, and design.
