Course Design

In the multimedia courses I’ve taught over the years, students learn to integrate various multimedia and communications elements to create interactive experiences. I have reevaluated 3 curriculums to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.

In my courses, students practice multimedia and communications practices using project based learning. This approach exposes students to different aspects of interactive communications, assisting with career decisions and portfolio development. I continuously update course assignments to be engaging and align with learning outcomes of the courses.

Regarding assessments, interactive communications prioritizes practical, project-based learning over traditional exams. Students develop research and problem-solving skills by navigating production challenges unique to their individual projects. This hands-on approach is more effective in assessing their abilities and preparing them for real-world scenarios.
